Sven’s poem

The face on Sven’s t-shirt

May 1st, 2008

In case you missed my post about it some time ago and were wondering about Sven’s t-shirt (someone recently posted this question), the face belongs to Chris Conway, a musician friend of mine in the UK.

I play flute on one of his CDs, in fact. You can hear my flute if you go to Chris’s MySpace page and click on “Alien Jellyfish” (last song listed in his playlist). :-) My music partners, Allison Durno and Jodi Krangle, are singing backup for Chris on the song.

Jo Knowles interview posted on Inkygirl

April 23rd, 2008

For those interested, I’ve posted an interview with Jo Knowles on Inkygirl about how she got her first book published. I’m also giving away a free copy of her book!

Revamp continues

April 9th, 2008

Well, at least I managed an update this week!

Between medicalstuff (which happily turned out ok), a convention and house visitors, I haven’t had much time to spend on Will Write For Chocolate up to now, but I’m going to get back to finishing the revamp over the next week.

Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to move over comments from the old server, but I’m aiming to move over all the articles. Meanwhile, thanks for your patience!

If you’re wondering why things looks so different…

March 25th, 2008

I’m in the midst of moving Will Write For Chocolate to a new server. Because the old hosting service had a customized Wordpress database, I haven’t been able to find an easy way of exporting the data so have to do a lot of manual cutting and pasting, plus setting up a new template.

During this time, you’ll likely see this page go through a lot of strange iterations over the next couple of weeks as well as some older strips as I upload them to the new server.

Thanks for your patience.

NaNoWriMo song

November 14th, 2007

Apologies for the delay in approving posted comments last week! They should be up now.

For those interested, the song I wrote about NaNoWriMo is included in this week’s WrimoRadio podcast (WrimoRadio Episode 3) on the NaNoWriMo site; you’ll find it near the end of the 20-minute podcast. My comics are appearing every weekday on the site as well.

You can find the lyrics to Mimi’s NaNoWriMo Pep Song in Inkygirl today.

Moongaze

Also, I now have an Etsy shop online with some of the acrylic paintings I’ve been doing. You can see a gallery of all paintings so far. Most are pretty tiny, painted on 4″ x 4″ canvases. With magnetic tape on the back, I’ve turned them into miniature fridge art.

Most of my work is digital, but I gradually plan to add a few acrylic paintings to my Etsy shop over time.
